Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rent bubbles now?

We are currently accepting reservations. If you would like to rent, please email us.

How much does it cost?

See our current prices under the Rent section. Prices are subject to change. Deals will be advertised on our Facebook.

Do I have to pay for set-up and break-down time?

No. We do not charge for set-up or break-down. Price quotes always reference the amount of time available to actually play, so 60 minutes means you can play for 60 minutes. (Travel fee may apply for distant destinations.)

I understand the minimum rental is 10 bubbles. What if I don’t have 9 friends who have interest/money to play?

We host tournaments and are busy developing a Bubble Soccer League. Be sure to follow our Facebook and sign up on our mailing list to be notified of the next opportunity. They sell out!

Do you have a facility where I can come play?

Currently, we provide the equipment and you supply the field. However, we can deliver the equipment almost anywhere. In addition to private athletic field facilities, some parks, universities, schools, and HOAs offer their fields for recreational use by the community. Note: Some parks and fields require a permit, reservation, and/or a use fee for some organized or team activities, and that is your responsibility.

Do I need a full-size soccer field?

Definitely not. In fact, for most groups, a much smaller field is better, to reduce the running and increase the bumping! A basketball-court size playspace, either indoors or outdoors, works great for our 5-on-5 matches. For safety of players and equipment, we do not allow play on hard floors (e.g. basketball court). Indoor surfaces must be carpeted, turfed, or padded.

Do I need any additional equipment?

No. The game requires bubbles, ball, line markers, and goals. We can provide all of these. Some people bring their own knee pads for extra comfort/protection and to make it easier to stand up without using their arms. As with any outdoor athletics, it is a good idea to bring sunscreen, water, and a towel.

Do you require a liability waiver (and what about minors)?

Yes, we do. As with any athletic sport, there is a risk of physical injury when playing bubble soccer. We will give you some instruction on what not to do, but you are responsible for playing safely and sanely. For minors, a parent or guardian must sign a liability waiver.

Do I have to blow up the bubbles myself?

Nope. We have machines for that, and we will inflate them prior to your start time.

Do you include a referee to explain everything?

Yes, each rental includes a referee who will instruct you on how to use the equipment and how to play safely, as well as help organize your games.

Can I just rent the gear and do everything myself?

No. The bubbles require special expertise and equipment for proper inflation and deployment. Additionally, we require our staff to be present during use for the safety of both the participants and the bubbles.

Do I have to follow formal soccer rules?

No! Our standard format is based on soccer, with some modifications to increase fun and safety. Plus, there are lots of other bubble-suit games that work with different numbers of people in different sized spaces. We’re happy to provide more information on request. Ultimately, how you play is up to you.

Do I have to know how to play soccer?

No. The referee will explain the rules, and it's easy to learn.

Is there a minimum or maximum height?

No, but if you have players over 6'5", let us know when you make your reservation, so we can plan equipment appropriately.

Is there a minimum or maximum weight?

No, but if you have any players over 250lbs, let us know when you make your reservation, so we can plan equipment appropriately.

Is there a minimum or maximum age?

No, but if you have players under 13, let us know when you make your reservation, so we can plan equipment appropriately.

Is it ok if I have long hair?

Yes, but you will need to put your hair up. If you roll upside down, which happens frequently during games, your hair could get caught between the bubble and the ground. Ouch.

How big are the bubbles?

About 5 feet across and about 22 pounds.

How do I wear the bubble?

The bubble is a globe or sphere with a tube through the middle where you stand. There is an opening above your head. Two safety belts hold the bubble on your shoulders (like a backpack), and there are two handles to hold onto with your hands.

Can you help me coordinate everyone's crazy schedules to find a good time for my group?

No, but trust us, everyone has the same problem! We recommend group scheduling using Doodle.com. It's free and makes it easy to find a time that works for everyone.

Is bubble soccer fun?

Yes. It’s even more fun than it looks.

Can you help me start my own bubble soccer operation in another city?

Yes, we've learned a lot about both products and operations, and we can save you a lot of time. Email us, we'd be glad to help you avoid the same mistakes, find the best equipment, and run smooth operations.

I have a field/venue/related business, can I partner with you?

Yes, please get in touch.

I have a question that isn't answered here. Who can I ask?

Email us! This FAQ is intended to answer the common questions we get every day, and it's still evolving, but if we're missing something, please inquire. And don't forget to sign up for updates on coming playing opportunities!
